The Houston Astros have claimed speedy outfielder Reggie Abercrombie from the Florida Marlins for cash considerations. Abercrombie has had his share of major-league at-bats, 331 in all, and still has only compiled a .208 career average. He's still only 26 though, so he has another two or three years to try to turn into a good lead-off hitter. Most believe he is nothing more but a speedy outfielder, as Reggie has above average speed but hasn't learned the art of stealing bases, only stealing 10 in 16 attempts.
