Cleveland Advances
The Cleveland Indians defeated the New York Yankees 6-4, winning the series 3-1. They will now get three days off before having to travel to Boston to square off against the Red Sox. Despite, an Alex Rodriguez HR in the 7th inning, Paul Byrd kept the Yankees quiet, giving up only 2 earned-runs through 5 innings. Grady Sizemore led Cleveland, going 2-3 with a HR 2 BBs. He combined to hit .375 in the divisional series, putting an end to the Bronx Bombers in only 4 games.
In the National League, two National League West rivals will square off as the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies will face off starting Thursday. Aces Jeff Francis and Brandon Webb will take the hill, bothing doing fairly well in their divisional starts.
