Pena/Young Win Comeback Players Of The Year
Tampa Bay Devil-Rays and Washington National's firstbasemen Carlos Pena and Dmitri Young have won the 2007 MLB Comeback Player of the Year awards, in each respective league.
Pena, who barely made the club out of spring training, hit .282 with 46HR and an amazing 121RBI's. His OBP+SLG was also over 1.000, a feat that only a handful of players can do.
Dmitri Young, who had a few good seasons for the Detroit Tigers, came back from a troubled offseason and hit .320 with 13HR and 74RBI. He was admist the NL Batting Title all year until Matt Holliday had a hot month and took over in that category.
Congratulations to both Carlos Pena and Dmitri Young!
