Florida Reacquires Armando Benitez


Soon after the Marlins departed Jorge Julio, they acquired a player who starred for them in the 2004 season. Armando Benitez was moved to Florida in exchanged for Randy Messenger. Messenger is having a fine season this year, but most scouts believe he will never be too much. The Giants also paid about $4.5M of Benitez's remaining contract, so this deal is an awesome one for The Fish.
