Craig Biggio finally did it. On a 2-2 pitch, he singled to centerfield against the Rockies. In typical Biggio fashion, he tried to stretch the single into a double, but was thrown out. Biggio now stands in an elite class and will be known to this generation, as a grinder who made the most of his ability, and, in the words of Ryne Sandberg, as someone who played the game the right way.
