Kansas City acquires Milton Bradley
ESPN reports that the Kansas City Royals have traded relief-pitcher Leo Nunez to the Oakland Athletics in return for Milton Bradley. Nunez is a 23-year old pitcher for Jamoa Norte, Dominican Republic. He has a career 6.99 ERA, but is at a 4.73 mark this season in 13.1 IP. The Royals must also pay all of Milton's remaining $2.7M contract.
UPDATE: The Kansas City Royals have found out Milton has an oblique injury, and has cancelled the trade. Hopefully the two can figure out what to do now, or just wait until the strain is fully healed.

Kansas City made a great move here, as Milton is a very good player.
Indeed. Im impressed by what KC has been doing this year. Im really not certain if they'll be much more competitive for it, but its been a long time since they actively tried to IMPROVE this team. Usually they're selling, but this year with the Meche deal and by picking up Bradley they're sending a signal that they want to compete.
Also, Leo Nunez is one ugly cat.
