Playoff Recap: Day One
Opening Day of the 2007 MLB Playoffs was an amazing day. In the matinee game, Jeff Francis struck out 8 through 6 innings, carrying his Rockies over the Philles 4-2. Matt Holliday, Pat Burrell, and Aaron Roward all went yard in this game. Josh Beckett than had a masterful complete game shutout against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Home-runs from David Ortiz and Kevin Youkilis proved costly as John Lackey struggled giving up 9 hits in only 6 innings.
In the final game of the day, Mark Reynolds and Stephen Drew lifted the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Chicago Cubs 3-1. Brandon Webb and Carlos Zambrano dueled back-and-forth until Reynold's blast in the 7th inning against Carlos Marmol.
The Indians-Yankees season will beging tommorrow as Chien-Ming Wang will look to defeat C.C. Sabathia in Cleveland. Will A-Rod have another horrible October? We'll have to wait and see.
