
Two great games occured today, both being settled extremely late in their respective games. The Cleveland Indians pulled out the magic wand again and defeated the New York Yankees 2-1 in 11 innings. Fausto Carmona pitched an exceptional game, only allowing 1 earned-run in 9 innings pitched. Alex Rodriguez had an 0-4 night with 3 K's.
In the late game, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-3 and Manny Ramirez hit a 9th inning HR off Francisco Rodriguez to give the Sox a walk-off victory. Daisuke Matsuzaka had a rough night, only lasting 4.2 innings giving up 3 earned-runs and 7 hits.
