The Angels have placed 2005 Cy Young winner Bartolo Colon on the 15-day DL for the second time this season with elbow irritation. Colon only pitched 1 inning against the A's and gave up 4 earned-runs. He has been struggling all year as he's now 6-6 with a 6.72 ERA.
When asked if Ervin Santana will return to the Angels rotation, Mike Scoiscia said its a possibility but he would like to take it one step at a time. The Angels also sent down first-baseman Kendry Morales to bring up relief pitchers Greg Jones and Marcus Gwyn.
