Yanks, Dodgers swap players
The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a trade that will send Wilson Betemit to the New York Yankees for relief pitcher Scott Proctor. Betemit hit .231 with 10 homers and 26 RBIs, while mostly playing third base. However, the yanks have a-rod there, and he will most likely pinch hit or play 1st or 2nd base. Scott Proctor has struggled with his command this year in the Bronx, with his stats standing at 2-5 with a 3.81 ERA and four blown saves in 52 games this year. Proctor is most known by this year wehn he burned some of his equipment on the field at Yankee Stadium after a loss to Oakland, and has a 2.84 ERA in July.
