Astros Name Cecil Cooper Manager

The Houston Astros have chosen to replace Phil Gardner with a former player and bench coach Cecil Cooper.

Cooper had been the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers' AAA-team and has been around the game of baseball for quite some time. During his playing time, he hit .298 with 241 HR's for both the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. Hopefully he can do a much better job with the club than Gardner did with the '07 group.
