The Minnesota Twins will have until mid-November to pick up Joe Nathan's $6M option or pay a $1M buyout. Obviously, we all know that the option will be picked up, except Joe himself. "I don't think it's a given. I'm never going to assume anything," said Nathan, who will turn 33 in November (Pioneer Press).
After the '08 season though, it look like the stingy Twins will have to fork out at least 7-8M to keep their closer, who has saved less games than only Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman in the last 4 seasons.
