Cards Quiet On Isringhausen
When asked if they will pick up Jason Isringhausen's $8M option for 2008, general manager Walt Jocketty responded by telling reporters "it's a matter of negotiation, and we don't talk publicly about that."
I think we all know that Jason has definantly been worth $8M this year, going 4-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 27 saves in 29 chances. I would be shocked if the Cards cut ties with the 34-year old closer, so i'm not quite sure why Walt would come out with such a strong quote.
