The Arizona Diamondbacks designated both Byung-Hyun Kim and Joe Kennedy for assignment, less than two weeks after acquiring them. Looks like their claims were only as blockers for another team to acquire either of them, but turned into an acquisition of two mediocre relievers.
Kim was released after giving up 3 earned-runs in only 2/3 of an inning pitched. His season ERA is at a 5.23 clip.
Kennedy also pitched yesterday, giving up 6 earned in only 1/3 of an inning pitched. Pathetic combination by both guys allowed the D-Back to let them go.
