Cubs Acquire Monroe

The Chicago Cubs picked up another outfielder today, acquiring left-fielder Craig Monroe from the Detroit Tigers. All they had to send Detroits way was some cash and a PTBNL.

Wierd signing especially with their surplus of outfielders and the fact that Craig is signed through '08. They are hoping a change of league will wonders, just as Jason Kendall did from Oakland.
