Luna who had never came around in Cleveland, was in the minor leagues at the time of his release, but the Blue Jays are given him a great opportunity to patch up their hole in the middle infield spots, most notably the short-stop position.

The Blue Jays have claimed 27-year old third-basemen Hector Luna off waivers.
