Mets Acquire Conine
The New York Mets traded two low-level minor league prospects in return for outfielder Jeff Conine. Conine is famous for clearing waivers and being traded, as this is his 3rd time being sent through waivers. The move came after the Mets placed Damion Easley on the 15-day DL with a twisted ankle. Jeff lead the Reds in pinch-hits with 6, and hit .265 with 6 HR's and 32 RBI's in 80 games.
