I've been seeing a few veterans popping up here and there un-noticed and figured i'd tell the world about them. Today, the Oakland Athletics purchased the contract of outfielder Jeff DaVanon who was somehow on their Triple-A team.
The Los Angeles Dodgers also had Shea Hillenbrand in their Triple-A team for awhile, and finally brought him up a few days ago. Hillenbrand never came close to putting out $6.5M worth of production for the Angels, but is doing a decent job for the other L.A. team.
Other News: Wily Mo Pena made his Washington Nationals debut today going 1-4 with a 2B and 2 R's.
