Johan Santana

Yesterday was the slowest day for rumors ever! So, I figured I must post right now since its been two days.

Buster Olney of ESPN, claims that Twins-ace Johan Santana might be put on the market this offseason, making every team salivate at the site of the 28-year old left-hander. He lists stud pitchers such as Jered Weaver, Phillip Hughes, and Andrew Miller as once untouchable pieces that will most likely be avaliable to acquire a Johan Santana.

My gut feeling is still that the Twins would hold on to him for a playoff run next year, and than take the 2 compensation picks once he walks. Or they can do it the old-fashioned way and just sign the guy.
